Marie has worked in landscape design and maintenance in three regions: East Coast, Gulf Coast and Chihuahuan Desert, from Big Bend to Albuquerque.
Some of her ecology and education projects include designing an indoor/outdoor garden for the Cesar Chavez Community School and YouthBuild Albuquerque; working with Legacy Land Trust in Houston to develop an outdoor classroom for HISD integrating sustainable building, gardening and nature studies; co-creating a landscape ecology program for a residential ranch in Jackson Hole developing guidelines for staff, residents and builders concerning human impact on and interaction with wildlife areas; site planning and program development of Chinati Hot Springs art and retreat center.
Marie is a member of the Albuquerque Independent Business Association (AIBA, keepitquerque.org).
